This week was my last full week of classes ever! This coming week, I’ll be moving home to Louisville to live with my parents and save up. My parents and I are super close, so I am truly excited to have this time with them and Rory the dog. My week was filled with stressing over final projects, my last date party in my sorority, and my first office Christmas party. Now onto the REPORT…

Reading: I definitely procrastinated my 5 million projects and papers this week by escaping into some books. This week, I basically binged 6 books and they were all great! First was The Match by Sarah Adams, a super cute rom-com story with golden retrievers and acts of service dream guy. Next was Killer Instinct, All In, and Bad Blood by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. These are a Criminal Minds-esce series but with teenagers. So much fun to read! Then, I read the Ex Vows by Jessica Joyce, another rom com with a second chance romance and a main character obsessed with lists (relatable). On a non-fiction note, I listened to the Subtle Art of Not Giving a **** by Mark Manson and it was ok. As I write this, I’ve started the Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood, and I am really liking it.

Eating: With this being my last week in Lexington, I have been treating myself to all my favorites.

1. Goodfellas – They have locations in KY, IN, OH, and TN, but this is a classic here in Lex. I got to go with my friend Sarah, and we just yapped and ate pizza until our stomachs hurt.
2. Dragon City – This is my local Chinese restaurant, and I just love it! On Saturday, my sorority volunteered at the Girls on the Run Central Kentucky 5K and it was 25 degrees the whole time. So, a warm meal was NEEDED. I got the Sesame Chicken and their spring rolls – PERFECT! Whenever I’m feeling under the weather, I also grab their Chicken and Rice soup.
3. Great Bagel – They make their own bagels and I cannot turn down a breakfast sandwich. I get the American sandwich and I have heard their coffee is great too!

Playing: I did the TikTok trend where you just search “lyrics” and your perfect song will pop up. The song I got was “Right One” by Spencer Crandall. It does not apply to me at all, but it’s pretty good!

Obsessing: I received the ZARA Monogram Purse for my birthday, and I am loving it! It’s such a reasonable price and just looks so classy with any outfit. I’ve been really trying to be more grownup in my outfits and accessories, so this is just a perfect addition because it goes with everything

5. Summer Fridays Holiday Lip Butter Balm Set – If you’ve been wanting to try these like me, this set is perfect. The set comes with three “flavors”, cherry, pink sugar, and sweet mint.

Treating: I will shout this from the rooftops for the rest of my life, Russell Stover’s Chocolate Santas are the best treat of Christmas. It’s been a Christmas tradition for my sister and I to get these in our stocking. Well, I saw them at Walmart this week and spirits were instantly lifted. They are just such good quality chocolate with such a strong nostalgia attached to them.
