Every year around Halloween, my grandma starts bugging me for a Christmas list so she can “get ahead of the game”. I’ve been the same clothing and shoe size since I was 12, so clothes wise, there’s normally only a few things I want. I’m also just not a big tech or beauty person, so that doesn’t help either. I always search the internet and Pinterest for ideas, so this year I decided to share mine!
CLOTHES:
Nike Wide Leg Sweatpants | These are on a great sale at Kohl’s and you know Nike sweats are great quality. I love the grey and the wide leg without being a flare.
Aerie Wide Leg Sweatpants | These are more comfy that the Nike, looking a bit more loungewear. These are a bit wider of a leg and they have a fun waffle knit side. A positive here is they do make a short version for shrimps like me.
Cotton On Sleep Shorts | I have these in two colors and they are the absolute perfect sleep shorts. They’re long enough but not too long and this perfect soft material without being too hot. They are on clearance now, so any other color would be welcome!
FP Movement Hot Shot Mini Dress | As I move into post-grad, I want to escape the shorts and t-shirt life and move into more grown-up and classy run around outfits. Free People Movement knows what they’re doing and this dress can really upgrade a comfy errands outfit.
Waffle Knit Robe | One thing I have always hated about robes is how hot they make me because they’re like a furry blanket. I found this robe on Amazon, and it feels like a bougie hotel robe that I could wear all the time and not overheat.
Free People Hot Shot Tee Romper | Same kind of description as the other FP Movement item on my list. This could also be a great pool coverup as well as just a fun fit for walks with my puppy.
Hot Girls Read Sweatshirt | So, obviously reading is one of my favorite hobbies! I found this sweatshirt on Etsy, and I just love it. I love most reading merch, but I just don’t know that I would be able to pick one book world to purchase merch from, so this is a good overall pick for me.
Aerie Polo Sweater | I have this in a sky blue, and it is perfect! It is a great length for leggings but also looks good in a corporate setting. They have several colors and Aerie is running a great sale right now!
Aerie Real Soft Pajamas | These are pricier pajamas but they are such great quality and so soft! They have lots of fun colors and just look so classy and cute. I have found good quality pajamas at TJ Maxx, but if you are looking for an easy link to send to the family, this is perfect!
BEAUTY:
Hot Roller Brush | I have the Revlon blow dry brush, and I just love it. However, it’s not so great when your hair is dry. This WavyTalk brush went viral on TikTok and allows you to have a bit more precision and definition in your curls. As I move into corporate life, I’m looking for tools that help me look put together without having to wake up hours early.
Charlotte Tilbury Mini Pillow Talk Set | I got a sample of this lipstick in a gift set last year, and I LOVE it. It’s such a great color for my skin tone and so smooth and high quality. This little set is a perfect travel kit or even just good for your everyday purse.
Tarte Maracuja Lip Set | Tarte came out with lots of color combos of this set this year, some with plumping. The Maracuja lippies are just a perfect combo of gloss and lipstick, making for a great everyday purse item.
Finery Perfume | I bought this perfume this year as an effort to elevate my everyday routine. I wanted a grownup perfume that wasn’t $100, and I found this line at Target. My perfume was $25 and has lasted me months. It stays on for a while but isn’t overwhelming.
SHOES/ACCESSORIES:
Gameday Purse | I feel like I am always needing a clear bag for football or basketball games and concerts! I found this cute one with good reviews on Amazon at a good price point.
Fake Birkenstock Bostons | Since Kindergarten, I have been staining and ripping shoes much faster than any person should. For some reason, I never grew out of it. I really love the Bostons trend, but I just know it’s not worth the $100+ when I can get the same look for under $40.
New Balance 608 V5 Cross Trainer | The grandpa shoe trend is a new favorite of mine. I normally don’t follow trends, but I just love these! These and the Bostons are probably the only two shoe trends I’ve followed in the longest time, but I think both are so functional and comfortable. I’m just wanting to look put together while still being comfy, and I think these bring a fun aspect to leggings.
Zara Monogram Purse | This is the cutest purse ever! You can get it in brown or black and then the strap is a woven material that you can get monogrammed. SO classy!
BOOKS:
Red Rising Series by Pierce Brown | I have seen great reviews for this everywhere, and I think this box set is a great deal for the first three books. I’ve really been wanting to read these and get into more sci-fi books. They’ve been on my TBR forever, so fingers crossed I get to jump into them in the new year!
Scythe Series by Neal Schusterman | Another series that’s been on my TBR forever! It sounds very much like the Divergent and Hunger Games era of reading, so I am definitely going to read this next year for nostalgic purposes as I’ll be post-grad and that is SCARY!
Harry Potter Series by J.K Rowling | Another series I’ve read a few times all the way through and I just want my own copies. This is such a classic series that I think about all the time, and this version will just be a perfect addition to my shelves.
Book of the Month Subscription | This may be the coolest subscription (other than Kindle Unlimited and Apple Music) ever! It’s $19.99 a month and you get a new release hardback each month. Sometimes it’s from a well-known author and other times it’s a debut author. You just pick your genre, and get a beautiful book in the mail each month!
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott Special Edition | Little Women is my favorite classic of all time, and I just love this special edition. Barnes and Noble released a lot of beautiful editions of classics this year, so you have your choice!
Ember in the Ashes Series by Tabaa Sahir | @emmyrosam and @saracarrolli have had nothing but good things to say about these books. I found the box set on Amazon, and I think these will be such a fun world to get lost in during the gross winter months.
TECH:
Hatch Alarm | This may be the most expensive clock on the market, but I’ve seen nothing but good reviews. For those of us that struggle to wake up to an alarm or 5, this alarm clock imitates the sunrise and allows you to peacefully wake up when your body is ready.
Casely Phone Case | My phone case has been with me since sophomore year of college, and it’s just time to graduate to a newer, nicer case. Casely has so many cute designs and runs deals all the time.
Kindle Paperwhite | I already have a much older version of the Kindle that I will use until it dies, but this is what I will be asking for when that happens! It’s a bit bigger than the original Kindle and is completely waterproof and glare-free. Perfect for a pool day!
THINGS I GOT LAST YEAR THAT I LOVE:
Crisscross Chair | I asked for this thinking it would be just a cute chair, but it is so comfortable and practical! I don’t feel so stiff when I have to sit in it for a while for work, and I can sit with my legs propped up no problem.
Cowgirl Boots | I have worn these almost as much as I’ve worn my tennis shoes this year. The ones I have from Amazon wipe off so easily, are sorta comfortable, and add a fun flare to any outfit. Great shoe for the south!
Professional Purse | I wanted a big bag for work that looked nice but fit a lot. I found this one for a good price, and I get nonstop compliments on it. Just a perfect bag for any outfit and I can throw anything in.
Any Sephora Favorites Set | These sell so fast, so they may already be gone, but these are such a budget-friendly way to try new makeup and new brands. I always love getting these to expand my collection
Color Wow Dream Coat Frizz Fighters Set | I never buy any hair product other than the basics (heat protectant, conditioner spray, slick back stuff, etc.) but this was recommended by @styledbymckenz on her YouTube. My hair had been feeling pretty dead last winter, and she said this was magic. I got it from my grandma, and I’ve been using since. I love it! My hair is so soft and shiny everytime I use it, but it never feels product heavy or gross.
