Today’s post is all about the things I use almost everyday. I started my first post-grad corporate job in the beginning of January and this is my list of items I would recommend you get your hands on before you start. Obviously, every person sets themselves up for success differently, but these are items that I feel apply to everyone in a variety of fields. Let me know if you’d like more content like this!
Cardigan(s) – Your office is probably cold. I would be shocked if it wasn’t TBH. For this reason and also for your well-being, please find a cute and warm cardigan that would go with anything you might wear. Suggestions linked here and here!

Work Bag/Purse – I talked about this here, but I need to reiterate how vital this is to staying organized. I recently splurged on this Kate Spade bag (during a sale of course) and it was worth EVERY penny. The number of compartments and pockets make my life so much easier and help me from just dumping everything I own into my purse.

These Pens – The BIC Round Ball Point pens are the best in my opinion. They never smudge or run out, they cost pennies, and you literally cannot break them. I never care if I lose one because there’s so many in a pack, and I am able to buy so many that I can keep a few in my car, a few in my purse, a few at my desk, etc..

Sticky Notes – You can never have too many of these! I’m typically the one that answers the phone so I go through these like crazy taking messages for people or even just writing down notes when I’m running through my inbox.

Blue Light Glasses – There is definitely a chance these do nothing but I stare at a screen or multiple screens for almost 9 hours a day, so I wear these glasses constantly or else I have a splitting headache by 2 pm everyday like clockwork. I really like this pair but Amazon has a huge selection!

Claw Clips – Maybe you love styling your hair and you plan to get up extra early every morning to do so. However, I tend to have a morning every now and then where I oversleep or just cannot get my hair to do anything. Having a few classy and stylish clips like these or these really provides a great backup option for these crazy mornings.

White Sneakers – My job in real estate often means I’m on my feet way too much for a cute pair of kitten heels. Having a stylish pair of sneakers that go with absolutely anything is a lifesaver for any kind of job. I love these from ASICS or even these from Adidas.

Gum – This may seem silly but this is soooo important. I went to Sam’s Club and bought the 25 pack of gum packs and it has been a lifesaver. You never know when you might have an amazing networking opportunity pop up and some gum and lipgloss are the perfect refresh.

Mini First Aid Kit – You definitely need to keep one of these in your purse. Just in case your shoe rubs horribly or you pick a hangnail or even have an actual first aid situation, this is a lifesaver. Add in some Advil just in case and tampons if that applies to you – you will thank me!

Hand Sanitizers – Go to Bath and Body Works and just grab a handful of these! I keep one in my purse, one in my desk, one in my car, one in my workout bag, etc.. This is by far the best scent in my opinion.

A Granola Bar – You need to pick a favorite granola bar and carry an emergency one with you wherever you go! Sometimes there is not time for lunch or if you’re like me, you’re hungry at 10 am like clockwork everyday. Having this filling snack helps me stop munching on random things or even spending money out. Right now, I’m loving these bars from Trader Joe’s.

A Good Planner – When I started working, I realized I was writing and losing to-do lists at least twice a day. Getting a good planner has helped me keep everything all in one place and feel way more organized. I love my Happy Planner or this planner from Target.

Well there’s a bunch more things I’m probably forgetting but that’s all for today. Let me know what you would add! See you soon!
