I will be wrapping up school forever as of this month (unless someone offers to pay for more), and with that, I am planning to spend lots of time rotting as a reward before I start full-time work in January. As per usual, I’ve set an ambitious TBR that I will scramble to complete in the last minute, but I am super excited to read these books and more this month!
Saving 6 by Chloe Walsh – Binding and Keeping 13 were all about Shannon and Johnny. The next two books in the Boys of Tommen are all about Shannon’s brother, Joey, and his girlfriend, Aoife. Joey is struggling to cope with the aftermath of the events in Keeping 13, and Aoife is struggling to decide just how deep her love for him runs. So excited!
Redeeming 6 by Chloe Walsh – I am not trying to spoil this for myself, so I haven’t read anything about it. However, I just know that it’s going to be a great continuation of the previous book. Chloe Walsh just is so good at making you feel like these people are real, so I can’t wait to see Joey get his happy ending.
Heat of the Everflame by Penn Cole – I finished Glow of the Everflame at the end of November, and this is the next book in the series. There will be four books in the Kindred’s Curse series, but the author has yet to announce title or release date for the final book. I’m really liking this series, and the author is getting traditionally published!
Once Upon a Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber – I read Caraval (same author and world) earlier this year, and I had mixed feelings on it. However, this trilogy is about a side character from the Caraval trilogy and I’ve heard nothing but good things. These books are supposed to give a fairytale for adults vibe, so I think this will be perfect to read by the tree.
Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard – I read Red Queen maybe back in the 6th grade right when it came out. I remember loving it and then being pretty upset that the rest of the series wasn’t even written yet. I then proceeded to forget about it. Now, I have the box set and I am excited to jump back into the world.
Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard – The second book in the Red Queen series! The cover is so beautiful, but the books do get longer as they go…
The Love of My Afterlife by Kirsty Greenwood – I have heard rave reviews about this book everywhere. Our main character, Delphie, is dead, and she meets her soulmate in the waiting room for heaven. However, he wasn’t supposed to die yet. I think this is just such an interesting take on a rom-com, so hopefully I’ll be able to read it soon!
The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood – Just got this in from Libby! I have loved everything I’ve read from Ali Hazelwood (I do refuse to read Bride), so I know this book with be a super cute rom-com with a dash of feminism. Hazelwood writes the STEM girl romance so well!
The Match by Sarah Adams – Another Libby read! I have also loved every book from Sarah Adams. She writes super cute and short small town romance so well. The Match is one of her earlier books, but my library had a short hold and I think the cover is super cute.
The Ex Vows by Jessica Joyce – A final Libby read for December! @saracarrolli loved this book, so I know it’s going to be good. This is Joyce’s second book ever, so she is obviously doing something right. This is a second chance romance where two exes that never really got over each other have to reunite for their best friend’s wedding. Just a good rom-com!
There’s so many more books I want to read this month! Since I’m starting the Red Queen and Once Upon A Broken Heart series, I am hoping to read the remainder of those to end the year not being in the middle of those. I also would love to complete the Naturals series and Magnolia Parks, two series I’ve been working on for longer than I’d prefer. With the completion of this TBR, I’ll be finishing what has been released in the Kindred’s Curse series, almost finishing Boys of Tommen, and getting a good number of books off my physical TBR before my next Target order comes in. Oops! Talk soon!
