Is this another month of me thinking I can read way more than I actually can? Yes. Yes it is. Enjoy!
- Daisy Haites: The Great Undoing
- Finishing the series this month! Pumped for this one because I just love Daisy’s books and her POVs. Also, I just need to get inside Julian’s head after Long Way Home.
- Magnolia Parks: Into the Dark
- Worried about this one as it’s the last Magnolia book. I am not a crier, but Sara Carrolli (@saracarrolli) sobbed the whole book. So, I may shed a tear. I have seen no spoilers, so I am going in blind. However, the cliffhanger from Long Way Home makes me feel like I may need a hug after this one.
- Killer Instinct
- Second book in the Naturals series! LOVED the first one and I am pumped to keep on keeping on. Basically, our main character is asked to join a task force for gifted teens to solve cold cases throughout the US. Very unique concept and thrilling but not scary! 🙂
- All In
- Third book in the Naturals series! See above because I’m avoiding spoilers…
- Bad Blood
- Fourth book in the Naturals series! Same as All In…
- Wisteria
- This is the third and final book in the Belladonna trilogy. Just got it in from my library, and I am pumped to see how it ends. I think this series is the perfect amount of spooky for a scaredy-cat like me. Such a cool concept!
- Somewhere Beyond the Sea
- This is the sequel to The House on the Cerulean Sea which was such a cute and magical story about being yourself unapologetically. I did feel like it all wrapped up well but then they left us on a cliffhanger by introducing a new kid…
- Glow of the Everflame
- I flew through the first book in this series because we read it for our book club. It feels really Throne-of-Glass-y and just is such an adventure. The first one has a dramatic cliffhanger and I am pumped to continue with the story.
- The Grace Year
- I have had this book downloaded on my Kindle for almost a year now. Madison Kait (@madisonkait) gave it 4.5/5 and I loved the idea of the plot. Basically at age 16, these girls are sent away to release their magic so they don’t endanger everyone else. But not everyone makes it home.
- Binding 13
- Inspired by Destiny Sidwell (@dessidster), I put this one on my 24 Series in 2024 list, and I am just now getting to it. This is a character study kind of book where we follow a college rugby player, Johnny, and the shy girl with secrets, Shannon. Did I mention they’re Irish?
- Keeping 13
- The sequel to the above book! We are still following Johnny and Shannon but after they get together. I didn’t look up anymore because I don’t want to spoil it for myself. I will say these books are CHUNKERS though, like 600-700 pages each.
- Shadow and Bone
- This is also on the 24 series in 2024, just shows how behind I am on my goals (oops). I did watch this on Netflix, but I just feel like I am missing a crucial part of the fantasy genre by not having read these. They may not be my most favorite ever, but I want to catch up from my hiatus from reading in high school.
