all about me

all about me

Hi! My name is Riley and I am a 22 year old older sister from Kentucky. A blog has been a goal of mine for years, but now I am finally making it happen. I’ve been told that I serve as an older sister or “mom” to lots of people, so I thought this blog could be a great place to talk about all things college, books, travel, and random other advice I think of. Maybe this seems like a lot of categories that don’t fit together or you only care about half of them, but I don’t really care. 🙂

So more about me! My name is Riley and just graduated from the University of Kentucky, double majoring in Marketing and Business Management with minors in Data Analytics and International Business. I’m currently working at TRIO Commercial Property Group as a Property Management and Marketing Associate. It’s a job I had no idea existed until I found the internship during my junior year, but it’s a great industry with lots of opportunities. I held internships all throughout college, and I am super goal-driven, with lots of things I want to accomplish in my 20s and beyond.

I also just completed the Spring 2024 voyage of Semester at Sea, traveling out of the country for the first time in my life and visiting places like Thailand, Kenya, and Germany. This voyage sparked a love for travel and I plan to visit Italy in summer of 2025. In addition to that, I hope to cross off 10 more countries by the time I turn 26. Other travel goals include seeing all 50 states (I am at 15 now), see the 7 World Wonders, and go on a one month cruise (live out my SAS experience again).

Now that you know the basics, why the name? Well, I am the oldest of two, and I have been told all my life that I perfectly fit the anxious, motherly older sister stereotype. Get ready for a random collection of my thoughts. I’m so excited you’re here!
